60 MEMBERS COMMITTED TO ISSA POLICY COMMITTEE BID
Issa Releases list of Public Support
Washington, DC – Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) today on www.gopleadership.org unveiled his 10 Member whip team in his bid for Republican Policy Committee Chairman, a list of additional public support, and announced that he has secured the votes of more than 60 Members for Friday’s election.
“With the help of my colleagues who agreed to serve as whips in my race for Chairman of the House Policy Committee, our campaign has secured critical endorsements,” said Issa who also predicted that he will garner a majority of commitments prior to Friday’s election.
“The last 48 hours have been incredibly productive for our campaign,” said Issa spokesman Frederick Hill. “Darrell’s energy and enthusiasm, his efforts over his six years in Congress to help Members in tough races, and his message that Republicans need to refocus on the core values that separate us from liberal Democrats are convincing many Members that he is the right candidate for the job of Policy Chair.”
Information on Rep. Issa’s campaign for Republican Policy Chairman will be continuously updated on www.gopleadership.org.
